Jackson Rees (b. 1990 Birmingham)
Jackson Rees is a painter, draughtsman and printmaker. He began his career as a graphic designer and spot illustrator for political magazines.
After completing a postgraduate at the Royal Drawing School, Jackson applied his abilities with design and narrative to the more visceral and emotive medium of figurative art.
Jackson's work explores the narratives between groups, individuals, and the wider environment. He uses a range of media, from oil pastel to egg tempera, to explore the tactile and sensual qualities of picture making.
Jackson has been awarded residencies in both Europe and India.
